iTHERM TrustSens hygienic RTD calibrates itself in situ and provides documentation to meet conformance requirements. On every cycle, it detects the Curie point of its built-in ceramic reference and compares it to its RTD. If both sensors read the same, the RTD is still in calibration. If not, it issues an alarm or error message, which is also displayed via a local LED. Built-in Heartbeat Technology also monitors the sensor and can send warnings when it detects a sensor failure, drift or other measurement errors.
